What is the difference between cardstock and text weight?

"Text weight paper is the lighter stock and is what we use when we make the envelopes, belly bands, liners, etc. The weight varies from 65# to 91# among our color selection.  

Cardstock (or cover weight) is what we use to make the invitations, pockets, panel cards, gate cards, etc.  Our cover weight cardstocks are all between 80# and 130# depending on color.
